Membership Application


Professional Member Types:

Full: any person currently employed by a Florida municipal government who performs communications functions on behalf of the municipal government in the regular course of the employee’s official duties, including, but not limited to: public information, messaging, public relations, community relations, social media, digital media, or multimedia communications. Full members have voting rights, may be appointed to chair or serve on a committee, and are eligible to serve on the Board after one full year of membership. (Annual Membership – $125)

Associate: any person currently employed by a governmental entity (but not Florida municipal) who performs communications functions on behalf of that government in the regular course of the employee’s official duties. Associate members do not have voting rights and are not eligible to serve on the Board, but may be appointed to serve on a committee. (Annual Membership – $100)

Student: any person enrolled in a formal course of instruction at an academic institution in a communications and/or public relations related field and/or have an interest in pursuing a career in public service. Students must be considered full-time (12 hours or more a semester). Student members do not have voting rights and are not eligible to serve on the Board, but may be appointed to serve on a committee. (Annual Membership – $25)
